How it started
Our Story
Master Games started with a simple complaint: the card games Indians play every festival season were already on phones, but the apps that hosted them hid their fees, dodged their players and disappeared when something went wrong. We wanted one app where the rules, the odds and the people behind it were all in the open.
That is still the whole idea. Every game on Master Games publishes its limits and fees before you sit down, every shuffle and spin is certified, and every account comes with spending limits built in. The support team is in India, works published hours, and never asks for an OTP.
Milestones
- The idea
Arjun Mehra and Priya Raghunathan, both fresh from Indian fintech and gaming studios, kept hearing the same complaint from friends: the Teen Patti and Rummy apps they played every festival season hid their fees, changed rules mid-season and vanished when a withdrawal failed. Master Games Technologies was registered in Bengaluru in 2023 to build one app where limits, odds and the people behind it were all published up front.
- First table
Master TeenPatti went live to a closed group of 2,000 players in Karnataka and West Bengal. The first months taught us two things: players on 4G leave if a table takes more than three seconds to load, and nobody reads a fee that is not shown on the table itself. Both lessons shaped every game that followed.
- UPI and KYC
Real-money play opened with UPI deposits and withdrawals through an RBI-regulated payment partner, PAN-based KYC before the first withdrawal, and deposit limits switched on by default. Master Rummy joined the lobby the same year, and the support desk in Kolkata started answering in Hindi as well as English.
- Four games, one app
Master Rummy, Master Slots, Master TeenPatti and Master Crash live in a single 48.6 MB APK, with certified RNG, responsible-gaming limits on every account and a support team based in India.
What we are building next
- Hindi language support across the app and this site.
- Published RNG audit summaries for every game, updated each quarter.
- More responsible-gaming tools, starting with weekly time reports.
